Overview

An important component of our strategic growth plan is to continue to find ways to leverage our investment-centric culture and history for the benefit of our clients. The Associate position will work directly with senior investment staff to support the firm’s investment due diligence efforts. The role will include creating and maintaining organized and thorough internal resources covering the firm’s existing investment portfolio, as well as seeking to uncover attractive new investment opportunities. The position will also include providing significant support to existing investment and client service staff by contributing wherever is needed, including client meeting materials prep. Longer-term, this position could grow to include Portfolio Management and client relationship building.

Responsibilities will include, though not limited to:
•Support ongoing investment due diligence on existing and new external managers
•Investment research support on individual equity positions
•Collaborate and maintain internal resources related to the Investment Committee and investment process
•Help facilitate and manage Investment Committee meetings
•Production of investment materials for client and prospective client meetings
•Identify ways to consistently enhance and leverage Investment Committee efforts efficiently
 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
•Bachelor’s Degree with demonstrated academic success
•1 - 3+ Years’ Experience in the investment advisory industry, investment banking, equity research, or public accounting
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
•Organized, with the ability to perform multiple tasks accurately
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
•Post-Secondary education demonstrative of interest and knowledge of field, including pursuit of CFA Charter
•Interest in Portfolio Management / Asset Allocation
Ideal Candidate:
•Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems autonomously while also working well in a team-based environment
•Detail oriented with strong analytical skills
•Passion for equity markets and investing in general
•High quality of work, knowledge of wealth planning and investment processes
