Zevin Asset Management is a boutique Boston-based firm specializing in global sustainable investment management for high net worth individuals and institutions seeking competitive financial returns for their portfolios, in addition to striving to create positive social and environmental outcomes. The firm’s investment approach incorporates prudent risk management and analysis of global business cycles.

The firm is expanding its investment team and is seeking an Investment Analyst to research and analyze international public equity and fixed income opportunities. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Investment Committee. This position is Boston-based.

The Analyst will identify, research, and analyze individual securities for client accounts, build financial models and provide recommendations for buying and selling securities to the Investment Committee. The Analyst will be expected to actively participate in Investment Committee meetings which consists of portfolio managers, equity analysts, social investment professionals and econometricians. The committee is responsible for everything from modeling the firm’s macro-economic business cycle outlook, to decisions about buying and selling securities. An in-depth understanding of international equities, self-direction and prioritization, as well as the ability to perform financial modeling and forecasting, are critical to this role. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate independent, creative, and strategic thinking on investment issues, including those pertaining to ESG.

The successful candidate will have institutional fundamental equity analysis experience following a thoughtful investment process that delivered portfolio alpha. Idea generation, modeling company financials, conducting industry analysis from both primary and secondary sources, and assessing the competitive advantages of a business are key to this role. She or he should have the ability to analyze a company, arrive at a fair valuation for the business using our proprietary template, and make stock recommendations with conviction. Experience analyzing equities in international markets is preferred. The position calls for a mature, analytical, and trustworthy individual with strong equity research, analysis, and communication skills, including: • Experience with applying environmental, social, and governance considerations to an investment process. • Comfort with an investment methodology that incorporates macro analysis. • Superior understanding of and aptitude with securities analysis, valuation methods, qualitative and quantitative research techniques. • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. • Wide ranging curiosity. • A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience analyzing securities. A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, accounting, economics or related field is highly relevant. A CFA designation is preferred. The firm offers a compensation program that includes base salary, annual bonus, and equity participation in the business.
